What are Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights?
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights are rights on a person’s sexual and reproductive life. These rights are closely linked with other human rights, for example those in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In a series of international agreements, such as the Cairo Programme of Action, these human rights are defined for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. Examples include receiving accurate HIV/AIDS and STD information as well as being adequately and timely informed about contraceptive options.

Moreover, it includes having no fear of stigma for one’s sexual orientation and identity. No person should be coerced or forced into sexual actions against their will. All people should be able to make autonomous decisions over their bodies and sexuality. An important factor in these rights is that a person’s rights should not impede the enjoyment of these or other rights by another person.
