Executive director of UNFPA, Babatunde Osotimehin, wrote an article on the importance of investing in young people around the world. He stresses that "investments in young people’s health and education are crucial", and "young people’s rights and participation should be at the forefront of international development", as "a better world for future generations can be achieved only by fulfilling human rights and meeting the development needs of the large generation of young people."
