In 2012, CHOICE youth advocates will be present at the following international advocacy events:
• Commission on Population and Development (CPD): 23-27 April 2012
The CPD plays the primary role in the follow-up of the implementation of the ICPD Program of Action (PoA) of the International Conference on Population and Development. It monitors, reviews and assesses the implementation of the Program of Action at the national, regional and international levels. The Program of Action is leading to the advocacy work of CHOICE, and therefore the CPD is one of the most important advocacy activities.
• International AIDS Conference: 22-27 June 2012
The IAC is the premier gathering for those working in the field of HIV. It is a chance to assess accomplishments, evaluate developments and to chart a course forward. CHOICE will not only attend the conference, but also the special Youth Program to strengthen the participation of young people and the profile of youth issues during at the IAC.
